Children's Day

Saturday April 30th, 10am

Picture
Día del niño, or Children's Day, is an annual celebration held on April 30th throughout Mexico.  It's a day when children are made to feel extra special and are celebrated. Usually in Mexico and other Latinx countries, schools, families, and even entire cities will host festivals, music shows, magic shows, and other special entertainments for children on this day. Many immigrants from those countries have brought these traditions with them to the United States.

The Friends of COR Museum has partnered with the Mexican Consulate to host the Mexican theater troupe of Osiris Cambrani who will treat us to a performance of the fable “Antonia and the Alebrijes” for the enjoyment of children of all ages.

Please join us for this unique glimpse into Mexican Children’s Day traditions.
