Who are your women of change?
The Friends of the City of Raleigh Museum invite you to share the women of change in your life. The current exhibition on view at the museum is “Women of Change: The Legacy of the 19th Amendment,” and it chronicles the quests for equal suffrage in 1920 and what women did with the vote over the next century. These women include Gertrude Weil , Vivian Irving, and Betty Knudsen. Tell us who in your life has impacted you in a positive way, whether it be a teacher, elected official, relative or colleague.
Write up to 200 words to describe how a woman or women in your life have been influential. Share a specific detail of what you learned and how you apply it today. We want to share some of these stories with our museum audience during a virtual program about the exhibition.
The submission deadline is June 30th. The “Women of Change: The Legacy of the 19th Amendment” exhibit is currently open to the public.
